The Diversity Ambassador Program empowers students to champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) through peer education, active engagement, and visible leadership at ҹɫapp. Diversity Ambassadors serve as responsible peer educators who thoughtfully facilitate conversations and programming centered on identity, equity, justice, and community. As members of the HOPE Center (Home of Opportunity, Purpose, and Engagement), Ambassadors represent the mission and values of the Center across campus, fostering meaningful connections between students and DEIB efforts.

Ambassadors are trained to be informed and empathetic leaders, equipped with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to guide their peers in creating more inclusive and intentional spaces. They play a key role in increasing student participation in cultural, educational, and identity-affirming programs and events, actively encouraging others to show up, learn, and engage.

Through this role, students gain critical experience in public speaking, dialogue facilitation, event planning, and community outreach. They also develop a deeper understanding of the complexity and intersectionality of diversity. Diversity Ambassadors are bridge-builders and advocates, helping to shape a campus culture where all students feel valued, seen, and heard.

Ambassadors commit to modeling inclusive behaviors, participating in ongoing training, collaborating with peers and staff, and using their platform to inspire change. They are not only learners but leaders - setting the tone for a more welcoming and socially just university community.
